Midwest Businesses and Projects recibió una grant por valor de $5.8 millones
El gobernador del estado de Nebraska, Jim Pillen, anuncio las grants del Norte y Sur de Omaha Recoevery program, en conferencia de prensa realizada el día enero 26, del 2024. Midwest Businesses and Projects LLC recibió una grant por valor de $5.8 millones de dólares para trabajar en los próximos 4 años, 3 proyectos: South Omaha Global Market (cocina comercial, salones de eventos y 20 espacios para negocios de comida en su primera fase). El proyecto para sistematizar procesos y expandir los productos de la Panadería Internacional. Y un proyecto para construir town houses en el Sur de Omaha
Estos 3 proyectos serán trabajados en asocio con 3 empresarios: Gloria Patricia Avalos propietaria de Patty´s Child Care Center Inc., en su propiedad ubicada en el 5125 S 24th Street, donde se construirá el South Omaha Global Market. Gabriel y Jazmín González los propietarios de la Panadería Internacional Inc., en su propiedad ubicada en el 5106 S 24th St., desarrollaran el proyecto de expansión de su panadería. Y el proyecto de housing que desarrollaran Max Honaker and Ben Katt , propietarios de Collective Development LLC, en su terreno ubicado entre las calles Jackson y San Mary´s y sobre la calle 29.
Agradecemos a Dios y al estado de Nebraska por esta gran oportunidad que nos dieron para desarrollar proyectos que contribuirán con la recuperación de nuestras comunidades, las cuales se vieron severamente afectadas por el COVID-19 y por el legado que podremos dejar en el Sur de Omaha con el desarrollo de estos importantes proyectos.

Midwest Businesses and Projects received a grant worth $5.8 million
Governor Jim Pillen of the state of Nebraska announced the North and South Omaha Recovery Program grants during a press conference held on January 26, 2024. Midwest Businesses and Projects LLC has been awarded a $5.8 million grant to undertake three projects over the next four years: the South Omaha Global Market (commercial kitchen, event spaces, and 20 food business units in its initial phase), a project to streamline processes and expand products at the International Bakery, and a project to construct townhouses in South Omaha.
These three projects will be carried out in collaboration with three entrepreneurs: Gloria Patricia Avalos, owner of Patty’s Child Care Center Inc., whose property at 5125 S 24th Street will host the South Omaha Global Market. Gabriel and Jazmín González, owners of the International Bakery Inc., located at 5106 S 24th St., will develop the expansion project for their bakery. Max Honaker and Ben Katt, owners of Collective Development LLC, will work on the housing project on their property between Jackson and San Mary’s streets and along 29th Street.
We express our gratitude to God and the state of Nebraska for this tremendous opportunity to undertake projects that will contribute to the recovery of our communities, which have been severely impacted by COVID-19. We are excited about the legacy we can leave in South Omaha through the development of these significant projects.
We pledge to work with love and passion to turn these projects into reality. These projects belong to our immigrant communities, and all opportunities will be extended to them to reap the benefits of this substantial investment we will be making in South Omaha over the coming years.
